The following post is the story of my skin. Since the pictures are a little gross, I figured it would be best to put in a jump here for those who would rather not read/see it.

It's Not Easy Being Green
I payed a little homage to Kermit the Frog in my outfit and wore green. It was also the color my sister suggested when I asked her infamous question, "What should I wear?!". haha
It was a great sitting-in-the-dark-watching-a-movie outfit.
Has anybody else gone and seen the movie? What are your thoughts on it?

Gobble, Gobble
As far as my outfit goes, I think I topped myself from last year. My sister was kind enough to wear a dress and apparently she told the ladies around her work that, "My sister, Hannah, sets the dressing standards for our holidays. So I have to wear a dress." I'm glad I've made such an impact on her. :)
Outfit details - Lace top, $1 (thrifted) - Skirt (Seventh Avenue) - Heels, ? (Payless old) - Tights, ? (bought last season.. Shop-Ko?) - Jewelry (handmade)

Baking with Betty
My sister and I were baking up a storm this morning, in preparation for Thanksgiving. Well, not quite a storm, but we did come up with; pumpkin pie, puppy chow (my first time making it myself!), cherry pie, and fudge.
I threatened my sister the other day that if I did any baking with her that I was going all out with heels and a dress. I came through on my threat! I think my desserts actually came out a little better because I was dressed as a domestic diva. ;)

What Comes Around, Goes Around
I'd like to thank you all for the well wishes about getting my tooth taken out. I took it easy, extra easy, to the point where I just felt plain lazy! A couple years ago when I got my wisdom teeth out, I ended up with dry socket. It's a pain I would never wish on anyone and so this was my first big procedure since then and I guess I was a little scared. But my mouth seems to be healing nicely and I'm doing great. It was kind of cool spending the weekend watching home and people makeover shows that I never would have watched. I absolutely love makeover shows! What's your favorite thing to watch on sick days?! (I'd love to get some recommendations for next time, ya know? haha)
I'm certain this wood-sy backdrop is becoming a regular on my blog! I love getting a chance to go out and explore. I always come up with something new!
I channeled my inner woods-lady (is that a thing?!) and put together this little ensemble. The poncho was, what I thought, a scrap of fabric I got from my great-grandma's house a couple years ago. It wasn't until much later that a friend pointed out that it was indeed a poncho somebody had made. That made a lot of sense! I think it's so neat that a project I could do today (like the one here) has been around for so long that my own great grandma had made one! I guess what comes around, goes around. :)

My Space (finally, a tour of my room!)
Since in reality, I'm just lying down and taking it easy today after getting a tooth pulled yesterday, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to finally introduce you to my bedroom!
I greatly feel that my bedroom reflects me. It's cool, childish, original, quirky, clever, cute, unique, fun, colorful, and every bit as one of a kind as me.
I don't believe my room is one that you'd see in a magazine, it's way too cluttered. In fact, I took these pictures on Wednesday just because I had to clean it for a house showing (still getting used to those!). While it's mostly all cleaned up and looking spiffy, my desk and vanity are almost always in a constant state of clutter. So when I went to take these pictures, I left them as is. I left them looking real!
I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures of room. Outside of the guys who installed our internet (which I'm sure they thought I was 13 years old just by looking at my space) nobody else has seen it. It's still a work in progress, but I think it's looking pretty good so far.
What do you think of it? Would you say it reflects me and my personality? Does your bedroom reflect who you are and how are you doing that? Tell me about it!

Rule Breaker
The internet is a great place to learn about strange conspiracies and get tips about things. I also think it's a great place to debunk myths and break rules.
Right here in this outfit I am breaking a few rules myself. Black and brown are being worn together, mixing floral and leopard print patterns, as well as my curvy body wearing a (almost) bodycon skirt. But those kind of rules are broken everyday on the internet.
I actually wanted to address the time of day these photos were taken. It was high noon - sun beating down from above. I actually like to think that noon is a lovely time of day to take pictures. It adds this beautiful glow around subjects and I can often get some stellar sunbursts in the shots. Ever since getting my fancy schmancy camera many months ago, I've gotten really into trying creative new techniques to get a good photo. I've been soaking in photography books since I was 14 and every single one of them shakes their heads to noon-time photography. I just want to say HA! to them.
Rules are meant to be broken and though I don't view myself as a rebel, I think I'm going to continue breaking fashion & photography rules. Being bad feels (and looks!) pretty awesome.

Tooth Hurty
What time is it when it's time to go to the dentist? Tooth-hurty!
(2:30 is the answer for the non-jokesters out there)
In my case, that's really true! Over the weekend I developed one intense toothache and today I went in at 2:30 to get it checked out and left with an appointment for Thursday at 2:30 to get a tooth pulled. The pain has been in and out, and luckily for me, was out during the time I took these photos. This location is awesome. I've been stopping by here for years and it's one of my favorite places! I've always wanted to actually come and explore in the summer time (preferably in a cute, airy dress) and take photos. But I guess I'll settle for my casual duds in the (nice!) but cold weather.
I'm so out of practice for getting a tooth pulled. The last major event I had was getting my 3 wisdom teeth pulled at age 18 and ended up with dry socket! Yikes, now that is a pain I don't want back again.
Any tips and tricks from my fellow bloggers about getting my self siked? And most importantly, what safe activities would you suggest for after the procedure? I probably won't hang out on the computer as much on Thursday. I'm certain that's what caused the dry socket last time! haha
Outfit details - Cardigan, $11 (Wal-Mart old) - Tee, free! (Wendy's Facebook giveaway) - Jeans, $12.50 (F21 old) - Sneakers, $11 (Wal-Mart old) - Key necklace, $1 (similar here)
