I like it a lot and I'll probably try to keep the color up if only for the Summer. :)

Sweatin' To The Oldies
Unfortunately, my little photo spot was infested with bugs. I swear they just saw me as a meal or something. Most of the pictures (with the exception of those above) turned out like this...

Wait For It
Well! Tonight, with no plans of going back out for awhile, there was suddenly a break in the clouds and a rainbow showed up and a really pretty sunset appeared. My mom said, "Wanna go back?" and I grabbed my stuff and this is what I got!

Activision
I definitely love an eclectic style! It's not one I'm particularly good at re-creating at, but I just love viewing kooky looks that others come up. There is something so cool about a mix match of clothes somehow looking so good together. It's like a work of art! You can bet that Betsey Johnson is my favorite designer! I happened to have a purse made by her that I thrifted a few years ago. It's like sea foam green, gold, and leopard print. It's very unique. But anyways, that was what I was channeling when I got dressed today.Other than my clothes, I don't have anything else on the home front to discuss. Farewell!
Outfit details - Scarf, 50 cents (thrifted) - Pac-man pin, 50 cents (thrifted) - Key necklace, $1 (Bargain Depot) - T-shirt, $3 (thrifted) - Cardigan, $3 (thrifted) - Shorts, $7 (Farm'n'Fleet) - Gladiators, $10 (Wal-Mart)

Attention Campers!

Er.. blog readers...I'm not at camp, nor am I camping. I did however go out to the great outdoors. It was all the way across town. What an accomplishment for the week!!
I have been attending the same camp for the last 6 years and out of nowhere I decided not to go this year. I guess at the time of registration I felt as though my mom would still need help (after breaking her wrist.) Which she is actually doing mighty fine. But it's super cool to be home to whole week. I miss camp terribly, but there is always next year!
Speaking of camp... ever since my childhood, I've always associated red shorts with the American Girl doll, Molly. She was, of course, my favorite! She just seemed less glamorous and real compared to her doll friends. Plus in the computer game they made (American Girl Premiere) she had the best set decorations and friends. If you remember the American Girls at all, which one was your favorite and why? These kind of random 90's facts interest me, so let me know for real!
If you made it this far to read this one last thing from me... I GOT A NEW CAMERA!! The camera of my dreams. It's a Canon EOS Rebel T3i (I wanted the T2i, but my mom convinced me otherwise.) So yeah, these pictures are totally looking cooler than before, even though I still haven't worked out the whole overexposure thing. Can't wait to show you what I'm cooking up for next week with this fella!Outfit details - Bracelets, random places - Necklaces, assembled myself - Shorts, 50 cents (garage sale) - Ring, $2 (Shop-Ko) - White tee, >$5 (Target old) - Lace tank, >$5 (Wal-Mart old)

Summer Goddess
In a perfect world, these photos would be taken in some huge back yard with a field and lots of flowers. But in my world, they're just in my back yard next to a trashcan and a bunch of neighbors all around. Now I'm not going to sit here and tell you all about the crazy hot weather we're getting and how it's 100+ degrees and high humidity. No, I will not. Because chances are you're getting it too!
Before I started getting into the blogging community, so many times I heard a saying similar to, "If you don't like the Wisconsin weather, wait an hour." meaning the weather changes frequently. I thought I lived in some weird place. But then after reading so many blogs I now know the weather changing constantly is universal, er, worldly? They just don't teach you some things in public school. What crap!
I'm in looooove with this outfit! Oh and yes I am wearing shorts. The top just really flows and kind of hides that fact that my shorts exist. Last time I wore this top was for NYE and I totally love the styling better for Summer. I didn't have the right bra to wear with it before, but now I do and tanks and skinny straps can be all mine!
I've spent the past few days indoors, sitting in a/c. Oddly enough I've had a sore throat the past couple weeks and just don't feel like facing the outdoor elements which could make it worse. I don't even know where it came from or how it happened or what it is! Ya'll know my social life, not much going on, so I know I haven't been around anyone who was sick or shared food/drink with people. Weird I tell ya! But hopefully it will just go away.
Well, my cold supper is calling me! It's pretty much like eating Summer for dinner. Strawberry, salads, and stuff, oh my!

3-in-1 DIY!
Hello!!
So Summer is in full swing here in Wisconsin and that means the clothes are being shed. I was trying to figure out how to keep some style while wearing mostly tank tops and shorts and then I realized I'm going to have to wear a lot of accessories!
So here are 3 ideas that I've found in other places but have re-made for myself. First up is this adorable floral headband. I've become obsessed with the blog Girl With The Flower and am in aw of her wearing flowers in her hair, every.single.day. So this would be my simple take on that.

Then when I was finished with that I noticed a bunch of tiny scraps so I thought I would put them to use!
While I was at it, I had a small square sheet of this pretty vintage fabric leftover so I went and did some cutting, folding, and more pinning and made a headband to wear on the days when my hair is up and out of my face. (well almost all the way out of my face!)
I hope you've found some inspiration for beating the heat while still holding onto your style!
Details - Plastic headbands can be bought at the dollar store and at Wal-Greens (something like 5 for $1) - This fabric was some vintage stuff I had found in my great grandma's amazing collection - Safety pins were also from the dollar store (125 for $1)

In Da Club
Wearing this sweater and these colors makes me feel like I should be playing tennis at a country club. They would never let me in though. Anyone wanna sneak over the fence with me and do rich people stuff?! hahaMy day was not spent with snooty people, it was actually really good. This morning I went and opened up a checking account (hello debit card and online shopping!) and went to get my drivers permit. Which I passed with 86%. The man at the DMV was quite funny and guessed I would get 2 questions wrong, it was actually more like 6. Not so bad! I'm just nervous about driving. I absolutely LOVE racing video games and I ace them with no problem, but a real car with real roads is a different story. It's not quite Mario Kart.
I pretty much just want to get it over with as quickly as I can so I can have the license!
