I got to spend the day doing easy things. I visited the local thrift store this morning (picked up a 50 cent Alvin Schwartz book!), hit up the dollar store (found some great things for upcoming DIY projects), and had a delicious lunch at my sisters. It's all I could ask for.
And now for the next two weeks, I am babysitting every single day. Luckily only a few hours at a time, but I really look forward to getting out of the house and making a little extra money just in time for Christmas!
I had gotten the idea for this outfit from a look I saw on Tumblr and I feel kinda bad that I don't have the source. It was mostly the color story I picked up from the look. I think it's a little bit of a lady like lumberjack. It suited the day perfectly!
Outfit details - Plaid top, free - Sweater, $3 (thrifted) - Black skirt, $3 (thrifted) - Tights, $5.50 (Wal-Mart) - Leopard print shoes, $7 (K-Mart old) - Necklace, handmade

This outfit looks so comfy and cute, and perfect for your day. Seriously, going to the thrift store, dollar store, and lunch with a family member sounds like the absolute perfect day in my opinion!
The lighting in these photos are so perfect for the outift, too.
Whyyy can I not seem to make the sweater-over-collared-shirt thing work on me? I look painfully ridiculous EVERY TIME. Teach me, seriously, haha.
I don't know about lady lumberjack, but you certainly look cozy!
This looks like a perfect comfy outfit! I love the casual look and you did it in a very stylish way!

Ahh, I love super easy weekends after long, busy weeks. They're the best! And I really love your outfit! That sweater looks so cozy, and it's adorable with the collared shirt layered underneath :)
I just absolutely adore your sweater love! Oh and that necklace is KILLER!
I would love to have a simple day like that soon. My days have gotten crazy and filled with way too many things to do, like clean, pack, paint, move, organize, read blogs, etc!! AHHH
