Fancy Schmancy

I've said it before and I'm gonna say it again, but there is no glamour in babysitting. However, I feel if I ditched this antique necklace, this outfit is totally passable as some of the things I wear to babysit! The main family I watch for has a 4 year old who is the girliest girl you could ever think up. That's impressive considering she has 2 brothers! We do a lot of typical girl things together like paint nails, fix each others hair, and have tea parties. I always have such a blast when I'm over there. While I think she would love this shirt to pieces, I just can't bring myself to actually wear it because one of her brothers is still in the heavy drool stage. Drool = not good for sequins (or me!)
For now this outfit will remain an errand running outfit (I like to feel fancy under my big Winter coat!) and I will just stick to wearing my less-loved tops to babysit.

Outfit details - Sequin top (Seventh Avenue) - Vest, .50 cents (garage sale) - Jeans, $12.50 (F21 old) - Leopard print flats, $7 (K-mart old) - Necklace, from my great grandma - Red bow, kind of handmade

I love the sequin blouse, even if it's not babysitting friendly! I've been wanting to incorporate more sequins into my wardrobe but can never seem to find cute pieces like this one!

Very cute look! The sequins paired with the pearls is great! Probably a good idea to not wear it when babysitting a baby though!

Apparently I didn't comment on this the first time I read it. I LOVE this outfit. You made sequins work for daytime and the necklace is darling. This is actually one of my favorites on EBEW!

Hannah, this is such a beautiful outfit. The gold sequined top looks lovely on you. And how pretty is that vintage necklace, made even more special by the fact that it was passed down from your great grandmother.

And I just realized that I never thanked you for your very sweet comment on my kitchen post. It truly made my day -- I was having one of those crummy, stressful days at work and seeing your comment brought a smile to my face.

Hope all is well!
