Every time we drive out and town and we go past this place, I always say "I'm gonna take pictures there someday". Well, Monday happened to be my 'one day'. It also happened to be Halloween. It didn't cross my mind at first, I was pre-occupied with the idea of "Oh my gosh, this is actually happening! Did you see the amazing leaves? This is a perfect day for pictures!" and then I put two and two together and started freaking myself out with every noise I heard. (I do all my pictures solo with a tripod, so I had flats nearby in case I had to high tail it out of there)
The vintage attire and creepy setting were picked coincidentally. I've had this pretty dress in my closet for a few months now and I've been wanting to break it out. I thought it seemed appropriate for Halloween, since most would just assume I was dressed in a costume. Nobody at the thrift store (that I was on my way to in these pictures) batted an eye. They were too wrapped up in a lunch break.
When I look at these pictures, I just imagine one of those old fashioned detective shows that is known for the line, ".. and then she walked in." I even read this entire post in that deep-announcer-y voice. I like that it adds a little drama to the story of these pictures.

You look so classy and beautiful! And you are right, this is a great photo location!
Cemeteries are beautiful places. I'm always reminded of Anne in Anne of Green Gables, who used to read in them. They give me the shivers, though!
