We'll Party Like It's Graduation Day

(title lyric from - Only Young, by Bowling For Soup.. I was listening to their new cd today, love it)
Graduation parties have begun. I went to one today for my dear friend, Megan, who once saved my life. The weather is pretty much perfect.. for those type of people that love hot, sunny days. There was a gentle breeze every now and then. I do not like wearing shorts. I have not completely learned to love my legs. Last summer I wore jeans and longs pants, SOME leggings, but not very many at all. I might wear shorts if I could find some that I loved.

I actually had three parties attend today, but decided on only visiting two. (Sorry, Spencer) I'm actually getting ready for the next party, it's gonna be a bonfire and it's on a huge plot of land so you can bet there will be running around. I am about to go change my clothes for it. lol, yeah, I change my clothes between parties.

Fun fact about me: Last year I graduated (and was homeschooled) and I decided on not doing a party. Pretty much because I had no after school plans and was NOT up for being asked by every single person I know where I'm going and then having them awkwardly respond with "Oh.. well, this is what you should do!" UGH! (I still got it a lot though, just not in a party setting)

How many grad parties have you got going on?!

On The Radio

(On the Radio - Regina Spektor, I've been listening to it A LOT this week! love her <3)
I wanted outside pictures, but our neighborhood seemed over populated and it was windy.
This has been a so-so week. I made a friend quite upset with me on Monday, Wednesday I went back to the youth group! But my sister nor my any of my friends were coming, so I was on my own. That doesn't sound so bad, but I've always been kind of awkward when it comes to new people. (perhaps because I was homeschooled?! lol.. but seriously) So I was in a group of "young adults" that I have only met once. Luckily there was one really nice boy who helped me out the whole night!
This was my outfit to end the week.. I was excited for my BEST FRIEND to come over, but sadly she cannot now :( Seriously, the highlight of my week is that none of my Sims got abducted by aliens.
I might try out yet another youth group on Sunday, one I've never been to before, but I know a lot of people there. Wish me luck!

Clothing question: I absolutely adore my scarves and am partial to wearing the little silk ones, but it bothers me this huge knot in my neck! Does anyone else have this problem, and is there a way to fix it? Can I pin it together instead of knotting?

Let The Rain Fall Down

(song is Come Clean - Hillary Duff.. don't judge me. lol!)
My mom and I went out to a few more garage sales today. Do not be fooled by a bright sky behind me. It was actually sprinkling when these photos got taken.
This outfit is a total no-thought kind of outfit. Meaning, no thought was put into it, I just grabbed pieces I knew could "blend" together. I've had a nasty cold since Thursday, but I'm a trooper! I'm dressed and up and out of the house!
(oh golly, what a mistake.. I didn't wear make-up and then I've got this cold. sick mess!)
This is my super duper most favorite find of this garage sale season!!! :D *eee* It's an apple necklace and I got it for..... a DIME! 10 whole cents!! I had seen a very similar one by a famous designer on the outnet.com and LOVED it.I just love unique jewelry that makes people wonder and comment. I've had my key for almost 2 years and I've gotten lots of questions. Most popular are -
"Is that a key?"
"Why are you wearing a key?"
"Does it go to anything?"

and my favorite.. "Is that the key to your heart?"
I had a guy friend ask almost all of those in row and then stopped me before I could answer and said "no, let it remain a mystery, I probably shouldn't know!" Seriously, no secrets behind this necklace. I'm sure the key deserves a post of it own though, it's an interesting story that goes with it.

Outfit details -
Dress - $0, Swiss Colony
Jeggings - $20, Wal-Mart (Miley&Max brand)
Sweater - $7, Vanity
Scarf (I call it my emo scarf) - <$5, Plato's Closet (my sister bought it, unknown brand)
Leopard print shoes - $7, K-Mart
Key necklace - $1, BD

Garage Sale Diaries

This weekend is city wide garage sales. The weather is crappy and rainy today, but my mom and I are pretty die hard when it comes to a good sale, so we went out. We spent less than $5 on the random junk we bought.. and about $20 on lunch for us and my siblings. HA! Total waste of time today.
That money I'm holding? Nah, I ain't loaded. I won a video contest and was given cold hard cash! Not so bad. lol I was going to turn it in for some g-sale cash, but I ended up spending $1 in quarters from my wallet. Soooo disappointing. Even my favorite church sale (meaning, in the past it's always been my favorite place to shop) sucked! Big time!

Oh! I tried out a new youth group on Wednesday. My friend (Marcus) took my sister there a few weeks back and she said it was alright but would have been better if I came. So I gladly went along this week. I'm excited to go back next week! I have not been in a youth group since last fall, I love having teen/young adult interaction.

Outfit details -
White V neck - <$3, Target
Red Plaid - $3, Vinny's (some men's brand)
Jeans - $4, Vinny's
Layered chain necklace - $3, Wal-Mart (Miley Cyrus brand)
Key necklace - $1, BD
Beret - $4-5?, Forever 21 (I looooove it!)

Ello Poppet

"Ello Poppet" was spoken in Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse of The Black Pearl.
I have been a puppeteer for 9 years (10 seasons). The magic happens at the library. I am the oldest one of all the kids and have been there the longest. This is actually the 10th season on Puppet shows at the library, and I've been there for all of them! Eek!
Every season we get a new "puppet tee". (I refer to the puppet shows simply as puppets, easier to say!) I was not at all crazy about the colors, but it's much better than some years. haha I wore this actually to go babysit this afternoon.
There is absolutely nothing awesome or special or unique. Jeans and a tee. It's what I'm usually caught wearing when I'm watching wee ones. (the key is a must, it completes me. hehe)I was kind of rushed to get home and change after babysitting. Tonight was our puppet show I had mention a few posts back! It was the "Emperors New Clothes". I was the town crier and my puppet was dressed fab. As part of the shows we must wear black/dark colors. I layered a couple tees and added a feather earring to match my character.
(the bracelets quickly left my wrist after they felt uncomfortable and not a good idea when handling a puppet)
(layered tees, the one with the black bottom is actually striped!)
MY PUPPET! She had no name. Just town crier. I pictured her as Joan Rivers and she announced obnoxiously everything the king was wearing. We had a last minute line change and I blurted out a comment about what the king had on, "you won't see this at wal-mart!", it got quite a laugh. I love Wal-Mart jokes.
Decked out glasses I glued together myself, hair ribbon/flower and scarf were her own.
Day (babysitting) outfit -
Puppet tee - $0, they are a gift!
Jeans - $4, Vinny's
Key Necklace - $1, BD
I think that's it.. :/

Night (puppet show) outfit -
Striped tee underneath - $3, Goodwill. (it's stained up so that's why I layer OVER it, I didn't know about the stains when I had my sister buy it for me.. I felt reeeeal bad afterwards, so now I wear it a lot!)
Grayish tee - 25 cents, Vinny's (box sale)
SAME JEANS
SAME NECKLACE
Feather Earrings - $0, homemade by myself
Jelly bracelets - $2, Wal-Mart

I am aware that this seems like such normal everyday wear, and that is exactly what I wanted to show! I looooove dressing and expressing a style, but I'm still a normal teen with a busy life and I have to dress .. "normal" some days. (crap I typed a lot! Sorry!!)
