Here is what was worn to church this morning.I can't believe I used to be foolish and not wear this purple dress as a dress. I kept trying to pass it off as a tunic because I hate skirts/dresses worn about the knees. But then I discovered colored tights and a better body image and this dress is now back to it's original purpose!
Today I put my favorite scarf over it. I think it kind of makes it look tribal, in a really subtle way.
Early this year (January) we cleaned out my great-grandma's house. Mind you she is 98, so she has many years of junk.. cool junk. I went right to her closests and raided them. I was hoping to find some sweet vintage frocks, but instead I found a bunch of old belts stashed away in different places. My great grandma is a much tinier woman than me and I imagine when she still wore these she was small, but I squeeze myself into them the best that I can. haha
The point of that story is, I'm pretty sure that this is the first time I've actually worn one of the belts on my blog? I also got a ton of jewelry which I wear frequently. Mostly a bunch of fancy jewelry and I've been waiting for the holiday season to wear it because it's so shiny!
What are you all looking forward to wearing most this holiday season?

I'm always amazed at the great "treasure" one is able to discover in the jewelry chests of older generations. One of my favorite brooches is one I found in my grandmother's drawer. So beautiful...it's a shame I don't wear it as much as I'd like. I really like your belt!
my mom's much smaller then but dammit I will SQUEEZE in her clothes! I just can't get in her shoes tho. Together we could have the best show collection ever!!
Purple really looks great on you and I love your accessories!

I love your scarf! So cute!
I also love finding wonderful old jewelry at my grandma's house. She always says I dress in clothes that look like what she used to wear. If only she had saved some of it!
