Roy G. Biv {Video Post}

Today's post is a little different than usual. All I have to share with you is a video. It's not like one of those lame videos you'd have to suffer through in biology class - this one is me spitting out things that I like that are the same color as the rainbow. You'll see what I mean when you start watching it. Enjoy!
You can watch this video along with all my other uploads on my YouTube channel!

Lifeline

What's the point of giving out advice if you're really not going to adhere to it yourself? A lot of times, things are easier said than done. I've totally been there. But now that I blog so much about life, I find myself saying a lot things. Things I want to do or a way I want to act. In real life, I can get away with saying that stuff out loud and most people would forget about it pretty fast. But here, my words are immortal (as as immortal as the internet is) so I really gotta watch what I say. This is not only true for a blog but for any social site. Facebook, I'm lookin' at you!

In an effort not to fall into that pattern of not listening to myself, I took a cue from my own post and mixed together lace & polka dots. I think it's a super subtle way to pattern mix. But nothing I do is subtle so of course I threw another pattern in my hair via this scarf. I may skip over my own life advice but I'm darn set on following my own fashion advice!

Five For Friday: Best Summer Vacation Movies

The only thing I love more than taking a roadtrip, is movies about people taking road trips. Whether travelling with a family or a good group or friends; there is something so humorous and relatable about these films. In no particular order, here are 5 movies you must watch before travelling this summer!

1. Tourist Trap
Not to be confused with the retro thriller. This is a classic movie of a dad forcing his family into a car for what should be a fun trip to see some history. It leaves me laughing the whole way through at just how true it is. (Bonus: A young Ryan Reynolds!)

2. Pee Wee's Big Adventure
I absolutely love Pee Wee Herman! He inspires me in so many ways. I cannot confirm nor deny that he inspired me to take my own trip to Texas to explore the basement of the Alamo.

3. National Lampoons Vacation
This is the first installment of the Chevy Chase series and it still holds up to this day. Many quotable lines and young famous faces to find.

4. RV
I really hated this movie the first time I watched it. I don't even know how that is possible with the star studded cast. Luckily I've grown to appreciate it and now I just wish that I could be stuck in an RV with my family on a horrible vacation!

5. To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar
I've probably mentioned this movie more times than one on this blog.I guess that's what happens when you really like a movie. This is worth a watch if you like drag queens (hello, vintage RuPaul!), quirky small towns, and of course a good road trip.

What movie would you recommend adding to this list?
